This year, I will spend more time doing things that energize me rather than drain me. Examples below.
Energizing: recreational reading (and sometimes nerdy, school-related reading); crocheting; crafting in general; writing letters; baking; eating; hugs; conversation with a good friend; Nia or yoga class; meaningful volunteering
Draining: when any of the 'energizing' activities become forced; self-imposed guilt; over-scheduled weekends; creating clutter; letting technology be a distraction; chasing down friends
Essentially, I want to regularly ask myself, "Do I need to feel stressed right now?", and the answer will usually be NO, and then I'll move on thinking or doing something worthwhile.
