adulthood / year 25 to do list

I have been told that I turn 25 years old today. I believe it, but strangers and acquaintances still mistake me for much younger or much older--for now, I find the former offensive and the latter flattering. Whatever age others perceive me to be, I'm looking forward to this new year.

25 just sounds so much better than 24 or 23 or 22. It sounds adult-like, and for a while I had been preoccupied with being a 'real' adult. I don't know what I was expecting. A graduation, a certificate, an announcement recognizing that I am in fact a responsible adult? I am responsible and I am an adult. I have been for a while but never gave myself credit for accomplishments in recent years, instead choosing to focus on things that were/are mysteries to me. I have realized that this is a process, aging and maturing.  If I ever feel like I've got the hang of this--whatever my life is now--there will soon be another thing (a new job, marriage, kids?) that will knock me back on my ass. And that seems like the norm for many adults. My current view is that adulthood is less about having it together all the time and more about dealing with whatever comes my way.

Below is the beginnings of a list of things I would like to do in my 25th year, to be a well-rounded person who has fun and gets her ish done.
